Listening to podcasts is one of the best ways to expand your mind, learn new skills and, of course, get inspired. And if there has ever been a time where we need some help in the motivation department, it’s right now.
While quarantine has definitely weakened everyone’s motivation at times, there are many ways to refocus and get that inspiration back in your life. For me, throwing on a pair of sneakers, shoving some headphones into my ears and letting a badass individual get me ready to conquer the day has been such a game-changer.
So whether you need some entrepreneurship tips, health and wellness advice, or just a little more inspiration in your life, definitely check out some of these incredible podcasts.
Best Podcasts For Motivation and Personal Development
It shouldn’t be a surprise that some of the most compelling podcasts live within the personal development space. This area has become super popular in recent years – and for good reason. It was when I began focusing more intensely on my personal development that all the pieces in my life began falling together and leading me down a path that excited me to my core.
I’ve been listening to each of these podcasts for years and can honestly say that they are some of the best podcasts for motivation.
1. RISE Podcast
Rachel Hollis is a vibrant entrepreneur and author who inspires thousands of women with her best-selling books Girl, Stop Apologizing and Girl, Wash Your Face in addition to her world-renowned podcast entitled RISE where she provides listeners with “tangible and tactical tools for your life and business.”
Not only do her episodes provide actionable advice and valuable tools, but the people she interviews are absolutely phenomenal and incredibly motivating. Think Joe Biden, John Maxwell and Rachel Cruze… I’m telling you, this woman doesn’t mess around.
Definitely give RISE a listen if you’re stuck in a negative mindset and need a little extra push – Rachel Hollis will help you achieve your dreams if you put her advice in action!
This podcast is one of my absolute FAVORITES. I listen to each episode religiously and usually end up frantically writing down ideas that were sparked by the phenomenal lessons and guest speakers in each segment.
The host of the Addicted 2 Success podcast is Joel Brown, a successful life coach, mentor and speaker who’s been featured in magazines like Forbes and Entrepreneur. And to top all that off, he’s off living his best life in Bali, Indonesia where he gets to travel and record podcasts with epic people. Basically my life goals.
But in all seriousness, this podcast is an incredible source of self-development advice and motivation. Each episode has another highly successful person talking about their personal journey and effective mindsets hacks, as well as tips on how to optimize your life, grow your business, and so much more.
If you want to get motivated by people like Tony Robbins, Tim Ferriss and Gabrielle Bernstein, check out Addicted 2 Success!
Ed Mylett is a captivating speaker, life coach and businessman who hosts one of the best podcasts for motivation that I’ve come across. He interviews some fascinating and thought-provoking people from a wide variety of disciplines (ie. Shaun White, Sebastian Maniscalco, Jill Ellis, etc.), each of whom has a compelling story and a wealth of knowledge to share.
His raw passion and belief in optimizing your life, growing and improving yourself, and reaching your fullest potential is absolutely riveting and makes me feel like I can conquer the world!
Best Podcasts for Entrepreneurs
Whether you’re an aspiring business owner or not, the innovative and persevering qualities of an entrepreneur are worthwhile in many aspects of life. These are not only some of the best podcasts for motivation that I’ve listened to, but they may open your eyes to opportunities and ways of thinking that you didn’t even know existed.
Tom Bilyeu, serial entrepreneur and co-founder of Quest Nutrition, is passionate about mindset adjustments and universal business strategies to help people achieve entrepreneurial success in any market. On the Impact Theory podcast, Tom Bilyeu interviews people from a wildly diverse range of industries to provide well-rounded advice and exposure to different business opportunities.
Since he is an entrepreneur himself, Tom Bilyeu asks the BEST questions to his interviewees because he knows what it takes to succeed as a budding business owner. He also has a YouTube channel, similar to Ed Mylett, where you can actually watch these inspiring conversations take place.
Each episode teaches me something new and reveals a new business venture or world view that I hadn’t heard of before. I highly recommend this podcast for entrepreneurial advice and eye-opening conversations!
Her workshop-style episodes focus on business development, marketing tips and female empowerment, providing practical tools and strategies that I’ve 100% implemented into my daily work routine.
And while Jenna Kutcher gives incredible business advice, what makes her stand out is her raw, authentic presence. She talks about touchy subjects like body image and financial challenges, and is unapologetic in sharing her own story – one that is both heartbreaking and uplifting.
